SSB Eligibility Criteria
Union Public Service Commission mentions a list of eligibility criteria that a candidate needs to satisfy to apply for the post of CAPF Assistant Commandant. The below-given eligibility criteria are mentioned in the official notification of UPSC CAPF 2019:
- Age Limit: Candidate must be between 20 years and 25 years of age. There is an age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and age relaxation of up to 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Educational Qualifications: Candidate must be a graduate from any Government University or Deemed to be University.
- Sex: Both male and female candidate can apply
- Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
The candidate also needs to fulfil the physical and medical eligibility standards to apply for the post of Assistant Commandant. The physical standards required for CAPF exam are as follows:

The medical standards required for applying for the SSB exam are as follows:
- EyeSight: 6/6 or 6/9 for better vision and 6/9 and 6/12 fir worse vision.
- Ear: Candidate must have no degree of deafness
- Speech: Candidate must not stammer
- Tattoo Clause: Candidate must not have any symbols on the saluting forearm. Only religious tattoos are allowed
- Chronic Disease: Candidate must not have any chronic skin disease or any venereal disease.

How to Apply- CAPF Recruitment
The application process for CAPF recruitment begins once the notification is out. Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for UPSC CAPF exam:
- Candidates can visit the official site https://www.upsc.gov.in/
- Only one application is accepted per candidate. So, avoid filling in multiple application forms
- The exam centre needs to be selected carefully as no changes can be made once the form is submitted.
